A Review of the National Food Safety and Quality Bill 2022
The National Food Safety and Quality Bill 2022 was made for the protection of the health of consumers from hazards that may be present in food and animal feed, the provision of the general principles of official control of food and feed safety as well as the obligations of food and feed business operators, and defining the functions and powers of federal and state institutions with the aim of ensuring food and feed safety risks are effectively managed and available food meets the standards and expectations of the consumer, with regards to the nature, substance and quality.
