The impact of MSMEs on the development of the Nigerian economy cannot be overemphasized. This is despite the numerous challenges that bedevil their operations in the nation. SMEDAN was established for the development and promotion of the welfare of MSMEs in Nigeria, and it has undoubtedly made a laudable impact in this regard. However certain key areas as highlighted in this article need to be addressed to enhance the effectiveness of the Agency.
