An Appraisal of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2024 and Its Implications for the Nigerian Society
On the 10th of May 2024, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, in the defence of the levy stated that same has become pertinent as cybersecurity issues ought not to be funded by international aid and as such the levy imposed was not in any way intended to punish Nigerians.
